AFRIMED and ENSAMBLE: Two projects that give ideas about the blue growth pillar of EUSAIR

The AFRIMED Project ‘Restoring macroalgae in the Mediterranean Sea’ is a EMFF funded project  mapping historical and current presence of Cystoseira macroalgae with the aim to restore damaged underwater forests and contribute to advancing international ocean governance along the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea.

The ENSAMBLE Project ‘Engaging local communities to boost the blue economy’ is creating a wide, solid network of local fishermen communities in France, Italy and Tunisia that facilitate local sustainable development in the Mediterranean via the diversification of fishing activities.
